LEARN TO FISH EVENTS -  for young and new anglers and a great opportunity to get your fishing career off to a flying start. Try your hand ar either fly fishing for trout or coarse fishing - better still have a go at both. There are  numerous events throughout the week for beginners of all ages. All the tackle and equipment you need is provided along with top class instruction.

SALMON AND SEA TROUT FISHING - This years events take place at a range of venues - but all designed to broaden the horizons of existing anglers. So if you're already a trout angler here's a chance to pick up the skills and techniques to set you up for something a bit bigger!

RIVER TROUT FISHING - top Cumbrian anglers on their home turf. Jeremy Lucas will share his intimate knowledge of the Eden's fantastic wild browns or perhaps spend a day with Stuart Broadhurst exploring the more intimate reaches of the Lowther and Eamont. The more energetic might fancy a taste of the 'wet and wild' with Eric Hope on one of Lakelands best freestone rivers. Great days out - especially for anglers new to the delights of river trouting.

PREDATOR EVENTS - new for this year. Track down the big pike of Esthwaite Water during our special predator day led by one of the country's top pikers. Or join the increasing number of anglers experiencing the power and the thrill of pike on the fly rod.


 

big rainbowSTILLWATER TROUT SESSIONS - Cumbria has some fantastic stillwaters for both rainbows and wild browns. Enjoy the best of it from bank or boat while you learn. Events will include lochstyle fishing on Ullswater and Esthwaite together with day and evening sessions at several smaller stillwaters. Ideal for anyone wanting to improve their casting skills or to keep up to date with the latest methods.

 



nw ffSOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT - Festival week shows its feminine side with the launch of a new flyfishing club just for the girls.

Carp are the new trout - and go like stink on a five weight. Tie the flies, learn the methods and hold on!
