Starter level sessions for first time fly fishers. This event takes place at Cocklakes Fly Fishery, between Penrith and Keswick - the ideal venue for you to launch your fishing career!

This three hour small group session means your instructor will soon have you casting well enough to catch that all important first trout.

For stillwater anglers this half day session will help you make the transition to river fishing - and open up a whole new branch of the sport in the process. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basic principles of river fishing and the range of skills  you will need to master. Sorry - both sessions now booked.

Bessy Beck Trout Fishery near Tebay is the perfect place for a first taste of fishing. Turn up at any time and we'll give you a full hour of fly fishing instruction and guarantee you'll catch a trout. An ideal event for all the family especially youngsters.All tackle and equipment provided. We'll take you through the basics, show you how to cast and we'll even be ready with the net when you're fighting  your very first fish. For younger children there is also the alternative option of a bait fishing lake.

The taster sessions start at 10.00am and will run all day with the last call at 3.00pm. No need to book, just turn up and join the first available session.
