Why not try your hand at something a bit more adventurous. Kayak angling is really taking off and Cumbria is probably one of the best places in the country to get started. Several of the larger lakes have good access and opportunities to fish for both game and predator species. And once you've mastered the skills on more sheltered inland waters there's always the sea on the doorstep offering unlimited possibilities. Sorry - both sessions now fully booked.

We've got the Ocean Kayak Team and friends up for the first weekend of the festival ready to give you a taste of things to come. Esthwaite Water is the venue with two half day introductory sessions and the chance for some eye to eye fish contact ! Both sessions are designed for already competant anglers but beginners when it comes to the kayak bit - so it doesn't matter if you've never even sat in a canoe. You can either fly or lure fish on the day depending on your preference. Kayaks are provided!
