River Fishing Taster - Sunday 15th May

For stillwater anglers this half day session will help you make the transition to river fishing - and open up a whole new branch of the sport in the process. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basic principles of river fishing and the range of skills  you will need to master. Sorry - both sessions now booked.

Instruction takes place on the upper Lune near Tebay and concentrates on river craft and the varied techniques you can employ for success with wild brown trout. Upstream nymph and dry, downstream wet and the mysteries of short line rolled nymph. Each session is limited to just four anglers so there will be plenty of time for practical fishing and one to one tuition. You should be a reasonably proficient caster with experience of stillwater trout.

When Saturday 15th May, Choose either 10.00am -12.30pm or 2.00pm - 4.30pm.

Where. Meet at the Cross Keys Inn in Tebay village.

What to bring. Dress for the weather, waterproofs, waders, hat, polaroids and your usual tackle. A 9ft, #5 or 6 rod with a full floating line is ideal.

Cost.  The cost is just £10.00 and covers all your fishing fees and instruction.
