Spate River Sea Tout - Thursday 19th May

big sea troutThe spate rivers of south and west Cumbria are noted for their good sized early season sea trout with some in excess of 5lbs and an occasional fish to 10lbs plus reported each year. To catch them on the fly in these small, often heavily overgrown rivers requires careful planning, thorough reconnaisance and a high degree of technical ability. This session aims to set you on the right track for one of the most demanding of angling challenges - a big sea trout from a small river.

Your mentor is Lee Cummings, local guide and AAPGAI instructor with years of experience targeting these magnificent fish.
