A brilliant day's fishing in the company of local guide and AAPGAI instructor Lee Cummings.

The venue is remote Devoke Water  - high in the lakeland fells - but (actually) less than fifteen minutes level walk from the car! This is a fantastic fishery and the perfect place to sample the delights, and difficulties of fly fishing for wild trout on the high tarns. Lee knows every inch of it and will guide you carefully through the patterns and techniques for success.

Lee Cummings is not only one of the UK's finest casters - but also a superb teacher with an uncanny ability to correct those minor faults that make major differences to your casting performance.

Combine that with his in depth understanding of the mechanics of casting and its by no means unusual for Lee to have each participant casting like a pro at all ranges, double hauling efficiently and, by the end of the session, casting a full fly line with ease.

A  chance to experience the delights of remote Haweswater - one of our most underfished waters. We had a fantastic day here during last years festival with plenty of willing fish and it turned out to be a great place to learn. These fish rarely see a fly but that doesn't mean easy fishing, they are lightening fast and you'll miss as many as you hook. This is a full day session at a leisurely place with plenty of time for learning, fishing - and enjoying the magnificent scenery.

Classic fishing for wild browns on Cumbria's most magnificent fishery. By now the fishing on Ullswater will be at it's peak with big hatches of olives and even the odd early mayfly. Sample some great drifts down beautiful shorelines and a enjoy a memorable introduction to this traditional branch of the sport.

This event is aimed at improvers and Bob and Vera will give you plenty of friendly help - whether its to improve your casting or to show you methods you have yet to master.
