Based near Carlisle, Chris can offer instruction and guided days targeting a variety of species although his particular passion is introducing anglers to the large grayling and chub that can be found in the Eden and other border rivers. Chris also runs his own fishery, West Pond , at Longtown (noted for very large bream) and as a member of the Institute of Fishery Management he can provide fishery development and consultancy services based on over twenty years of practical experience. Alongside two other local instructors Chris also runs the 'Borderlines' project which has already introduced hundeds of youngsters to angling. If all that wasn't enough he still finds time for angling writing and his regular angling column in the Cumberland News.
