Tebay have extensive fishing in the upper reaches of the Lune extending both above and below the village and including the tributaries of Borrow Beck, Birk Beck and Chapel Beck. There is excellent fly fishing for brown trout throughout the season. From midsummer onwards, and given the conditions, migratory fish begin to turn up although in most years sport will peak in September and October. Membership is available for visitors although a waiting list is usually in place.
