Day Permits

Day permits are available for a number of WADAA fisheries covering stocked trout, wild trout and  natural coarse and pike waters. Permits can either be purchased online or from a number of agents in South Cumbria (listed below). One junior under 16 may fish for free with an adult permit holder. (If you have two juniors you will need to buy a second permit.)

NEWBY BRIDGE Newby Bridge Motors, Half a mile east of Newby Bridge on the A590. Open 7.30 am to 9.30pm daily.

GRANGE OVER SANDS The Fishing Hut, Windermere Road, Grange over Sands. Open 9.30 am to 5.00pm daily. Closed Thursday.

KENDAL Carlsons Fishing Tackle, Kirkland (opposite Parish Church) Open 9.00am -5.00pm. Thursday 12.30pm – 6.30pm Closed Sunday.

INGS Ings Filling Station. Two miles east of Windermere on the A591 Open 7.00am -10.00pm every day.

AMBLESIDE (WATERHEAD) Waterhead Marine. One mile south of Ambleside centre on the A591. Open 9.00am -5.00pm every day.

AMBLESIDE Tourist Information Centre. Market Cross. Open daily from 9.00am

GRASMERE Barneys News Box, Grasmere. Open 7.00 am to 6.00pm. Sundays 9.00am

GRASMERE Grasmere Post Office. Open 9.00am to 5.00pm Closed Thursdays, Sundays.

HAWKSHEAD Tower Bank Arms, Sawrey, nr Hawkshead. Open 9.00am for permits.
