The fishery is holding a good stock of trout and providing it remains reasonably mild High Newton should continue to fish right through the winter. Any calmer spell usually sees hatches of small buzzer coming off although these can be confined to short periods during the  middle of the day. Trout do become more localised during the colder months and it pays to keep on the move until you find them.
