Cumbria is not just the Lake District. This large county also encompasses quieter, less frequented areas with a unique quality all of their own. The Eden Valley, the West Cumbrian coast and parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park all fall within our boundaries. These areas see fewer visitors and still hold many waters that remain relatively underfished. lakedistrictfishing.net is your information gateway to all aspects of fishing in this beautiful corner of North West England. Although the site is compiled and managed by WADAA it is also intended to act as a focal point for Cumbrian angling generally with fishing reports, news, club details and all the other bits and pieces of information that anglers need to keep themselves up to date and find their way around. We are indebted to the numerous clubs, fisheries, agencies and individual anglers who have generously provided much of the detail within these pages. A particular thanks must go to David Hall, Andrew Leaney, Eric Hope, Matt Eastham and Peter Corkhill whose excellent images illustrate many of the fishery pages. And finally to the Lake District National Park Authority and the Environment Agency for their support and contribution to the costs of the site design.
