Fortunately there are an increasing number  of opportunities for beginners to enjoy a more guided entry into the sport which can help to by pass much of the initial frustrating  process of working it out for yourself.

Many fisheries now offer coaching sessions, the more active angling clubs will run beginners courses, particularly for youngsters, and there are many professional angling instructors available to help.
