Thirlmere

thirlmere29th  August. No recent reports from this water - September can produce some good fish and with water levels moving back up it could well be worth a shot.

Kentmere

kentmere29th August. The last month on this fishery which closes on 30th September. Stock levels are still good and there are plenty of fish showing on most days. Good surface sport can be expected to small dries with terrestrial patterns favoured on any breezy day.

Wild Trout Waters

1lb14oz from eden29th August Simpson Ground has been well fished with most anglers reporting fit , well conditioned rainbows and still quite a few browns showing up. Hayeswater devotees have aso been doing well over the last couple of weeks with trout over the pound mark. The lower reaches of the Rothay and Brathay should come into their own with every chance of good lake fish after a spate.

Ratherheath Tarn

ratherheath 29th August. Still performing at Ratherheath and no sign of any slackening. The hotspots seem to be the bottom of each arm but almost anywhere is producing fish. The final round of the summer league takes place on 12th September.
